  6. My scheduled pull doesn't show on the website yet, why?

After you send your Sanctioning Application to the Sanctioning Chair, she enters it into our database. She then sends the updated database to the Newsletter Chair and the Webmaster. As a volunteer, she accomplishes these tasks in her 'spare' time. While she is very dedicated, it isn't instant. The webmaster then updates the upcoming pulls from the updated database.

  7. I paid my membership, why does my dog still show as provisional?

When the Membership Chair receives your Membership Application and payment, she enters your information into our database. She then forwards her updated portion of the database to the Sanctioning Chair. As a volunteer, she accomplishes these tasks in her 'spare' time. While she is very dedicated, it isn't instant. The Sanctioning Chair incorporates the membership updates into the main database. Then she forwards the updated database to both the Newsletter Chair and the Webmaster. When the Webmaster updates the website with these results, the dog will no longer show as provisional.

  8. The results of my pull don't show on the website yet, why?

After you send your pull results to the Sanctioning Chair (Statistician), she enters it into our database. She then sends the updated database to the Newsletter Chair and the Webmaster. As a volunteer, she accomplishes these tasks in her 'spare' time. While she is very dedicated, it isn't instant. The webmaster then updates the upcoming pulls from the updated database.

  9. The pull results for my dog are wrong, what do I do?

Contact the pull organizer. They will then look at what they sent to the Sanctioning Chair (Statistician). Perhaps they made an error or the Statistician made an error. They will then contact the Statistician to update the results. When the Statistician sends a database update to the Webmaster, it will then be updated on the website.

  10. The points for my dog are wrong, what do I do?

First take a look at how your dog's name is spelled in each of his pulls. If it's spelled differently in different pulls, then the different spellings are accumulating points. If this is the case, contact the organizer where the dog's name is spelled incorrectly. They will then contact the Statistician to update the results. When the Statistician sends a database update to the Webmaster, it will then be updated on the website.

If your dog's name is spelled exactly the same way in every pull, then look at the points accumulated at each pull. Which pull is incorrect for points? Then contact that pull organizer to get it corrected. They will then contact the Statistician to update the results. When the Statistician sends a database update to the Webmaster, it will then be updated on the website.

  11. When emailing results to the Sanctioning Chair (Statistician), what formats are acceptable?

.doc (Word), .rtf (Word), .pdf (Adobe Acrobat Reader) are all acceptable formats.

Not acceptable formats include: .jpg, .png, .mpg (or other video formats), text messages, FaceBook messages.

  12. When emailing any forms to any of the different Chairs (Membership, Sanctioning, Working Dog, Judge, Hall of Fame, Elections), what formats are acceptable?

.doc (Word), .rtf (Word), .pdf (Adobe Acrobat Reader) are all acceptable formats.

Not acceptable formats include: .jpg, .png, .mpg (or other video formats), text messages, FaceBook messages.

The only time .jpg or .png formats are acceptable is when sending photos of dogs along with the Hall of Fame application.

  13. What do I do if I don't receive my Newsletter?

Contact the Membership Chair to inquire if they received your membership application. If so, confirm your address/email address is correct.

  14. What dogs breeds are recognized on pull results?

When our previous statistician, Sue Ferrari, started doing this some years ago the list of dog breeds was rather large, in fact listing all kinds of mixes in all kinds of combinations. The database was out of hand and unwieldy with it becoming unusable. Sue Ferrari cleaned up the database several years ago. Our current statistician, Jean Wilson will be doing her best to keep to the breeds listed in the three all breed North American clubs: AKC, UKC, CKC (Canadian Kennel Club), as well as the Alaskan Husky (recognized world wide). All others will be listed as Mixed. If you notice that your dog breed has changed, and there is an issue, please let Jean know.

  15. By what date do I need to renew my annual membership to be eligible to vote for board members and Championship Judges?

The cutoff date for membership voting eligibility is December 15th. This means that the membership application must be postmarked December 15th or before. Involved in the process are the Membership Chair, Judges Chair and Election Chair. Our Constitution states that ballots must go out the first week of January. For the Election Chair to make that happen, there must be a cutoff point that allows these 3 Chairs to collate the data during the busy holiday season.
