Baxter came to the Reed home at 10 months of age. He was very malnourished and neglected. He and Robbie became began an instant bond.
Baron Baxter began his pulling career in December 2004 and competed in the 125 pound weight class. In the 2004-05 and 2005-06 seasons he bounced between the 125 pound class and 150 pound class and medaled regionally both years on snow and wheels. Baron Baxter medaled regionally every year he pulled and traveled with King Dukes to Championships. Through his weight pulling career Baron Baxter earned 2 IWPA Bronze Championship Medals that being at the 2008-09 and 2009-10 Championships.
Baron Baxter loved to weight pull even with very bad hip dysplasia. Robbie was always very watchful of how much weight she let him pull. Whenever he started to favor his right hip Robbie would stop pulling him but he was still raring to pull. Terry often said if Baxter had good hips he and King Dukes wouldn't have stood a chance against Baxter and Robbie.
Baron Baxter retired after the 2011 Championships in Estes Park, Colorado.
Baron Baxter was laid to rest on May 2nd, 2012.
