Silver was a Norwegian Elkhound who loved to pull on snow. Since he began his professional pulling career, Silver earned a silver regional medal on snow in the 2002-03 season. During the 2003-04 season, he earned a gold regional medal on snow, and was also the silver medalist on snow at Championships in 2004. In the 2004-05 season, again he earned a gold regional medal on snow, a bronze regional in 2005-06, and in 2006-07, he again was the gold regional medalist. Silver earned on snow during the 2007-08 season another gold regional medal, and a silver Championship medal. His 2008-09 season, Silver was a gold medalist of region 9 once again. In the 2009-10 season, Silver once again was the gold medalist on snow. Silver's final trip to Championships was in 2010. Silver's best pull on snow was 1,800 pounds. He was the first dog that his handler Rodney had ever pulled, and was ready to pull long before Rodney was ready to handle him in the Sanctioned arena. Silver went over the rainbow in November of 2012. He will be greatly missed.
