Raider
Owner/Handler: Valarie Thawley
Raider came to Valarie Thawley when he was 3 years old. He is the great nephew of Bogie, so why not see if Raider can take up where his great Uncle left off. And boy did he ever. Once Valarie and Raider started working together, they formed a very special bond like no other. A lot of people are jealous of the bond that Raider and Valarie have together. He will do anything Valarie asks and more. He is what Valarie considers as her Soul Dog.
Since 2007, Raider has won or placed in every weight pull that he and Valarie had ever been in. He's taken home a Regional medal every year, and took the bronze Medal on snow at the Championships held in Hartford, CT.
Raider has pulled over 3000 - 4000 pounds several times. His personal best was accomplished in 2013 pulling 4575 lbs on wheels. Valarie decided to retire him at the end of the 2012-2013 season, and allow him to go out on top.
